Creating Supervisor Log Entries
The Supervisors Log Module has been replaced by the Employee Log Module
New => Supervisor Log
Personnel with the proper permission can view, create, and edit log entries.
Creating a new Entry
To create a new Supervisors Log Entry

- Select New => Supervisors Log.
- Select the employee.
- Complete the form as necessary.
If you have Internal Affairs Permissions and this is an Internal Affairs Entry, you can check the IA box to the right of the case number. IA entries are ONLY visible to those users with Internal Affairs Permissions.
- When you are done, click the Review Entry button.
- If everything looks good, to complete the entry click Create Entry.
- PSTracker will advise you the entry was created successfully
- From this screen you have two options

- Return to the Dashboard
- Add a Note, File, or Edit This Entry (see below)

- Select New => Supervisors Log.
Notifications
Depending on your Agency's configuration settings, when you create an entry, the following notifications may occur:

- The employee receives a notification email about the New Supervisors Log Entry.
- Personnel subscribed receive notification emails about the new Supervisors Log Entry.
- The employee receives a notification email about the New Supervisors Log Entry.
Employee Response
If your agency allows, employees may respond to their Supervisor Log Entry.

- Responses may be limited to specific time frame.
- Notifications may go out when an employee responds.

Adding a Note to an Entry
A note can be added to an existing supervisors log entry.
- This is useful if you need to follow up on an existing entry, or for those agencies that allow employees to provide a response to the supervisors log entry, but not directly.
The process of adding a note depends on where you are in PSTracker at the moment
If you have just created the entry and wish to add a note

- From the bottom right, click the Add a Note, File or Edit This Entry button.
- From the bottom right, click the Add a Note, File or Edit This Entry button.
(Alternatively) From the dashboard

Click View => Supervisor Log.
- Locate the Entry you wish to add a note to and click that entries View button.
Next... From the Entry Details screen
- Click the Note button.
- Enter the note and click the Add Note button
- PSTracker will advise you the note was added successfully

Adding a File to an Entry
A file can be added to an existing supervisors log entry.
- This is useful if you need to follow up on an existing entry, or for those agencies that allow employees to provide a response to the supervisors log entry, but not directly.
The process of adding a file depends on where you are in PSTracker at the moment
If you have just created the entry and wish to add a file

- From the bottom right, click the Add a Note, File or Edit This Entry button.
- From the bottom right, click the Add a Note, File or Edit This Entry button.
(Alternatively) From the dashboard

Click View => Supervisor Log.
- Locate the Entry you wish to add a file to and click that entries View button.
Next... From the Entry Details screen
- Click the Add File To Supervisors Log Entry button.
- A modal opens allowing you to locate and select the file. When selected, Click Add File.
- PSTracker will advise you the file was added successfully

Editing an existing Entry
Supervisor log entries and notes can only be edited if you are the author of that entry or note and you have the proper permissions.
If you are the author of the entry to note and you have the proper permissions, an edit button will appear at the top left of the entry.

- Click Edit
- Make your edits, and then click the Review Entry button. If you decide during the process that you do not want to edit the entry, you can click the Back to Log Entry button, which will terminate the edit process and bring you back to the Supervisors Log entry.
- Click the Update Entry button to commit to the edits
- PSTracker will advise you the entry was edited successfully
- Click Edit
Just as with creating a new Entry, depending on your Agency's configuration settings, when you edit an entry, email notifications may occur.
