Managing Employee Log Templates
Manage => Employee Log
Templates are pre-formatted content inserted into the text editor that may include elements such as tables, lists, and html. Templates are normally built using PSTrackers text editor, but can be copy and paste from programs such as MS Word.
Templates are available to your employees when they are creating or editing employee log entries.
How to use a template
-
- Click on the templates button on the text editor tool bar.
- A small window opens with a list of templates to select from. Click the name of the template to insert it into the text editor for further modification.
Managing Templates
To manage your agency's templates, using the sub-menu click Templates.
You will be shown a list of your existing templates. Depending on the complexity of the template, it may or may not display properly in this list. We recommend editing a template to see an accurate view of the template.
Add a new Template
To add a new template click the blue Add Template button in the employee log sub-menu.
A modal opens up allowing you to add the new template.
Tip
It's easier to create the actual template content from the Edit Template screen because there is more room and the text editors toolbar contains the full suite of options/buttons. We recommend you enter the title and description and click Create New Template. Then go back and edit the template to add the actual template content.
Fill out the information, create the template content in the text editor, and click Create New Template.
Edit an existing Template
To edit an existing template, click the edit button at the far right of the templates row.
The screen will refresh with the template displayed for editing.
Make your changes and click Save Template.
