The Update Hours feature allows employees to easily update the hours of a vehicle when a full vehicle inspection is not needed. For example, some departments need the current hours of every vehicle on the first day of every month. The Update Hours feature is the perfect solution for this. To update the mileage choose Inspections ⇒ Update Hours

Next, select the vehicle you are updating the hours on.

Next, enter the current hours in whole numbers rounded to the nearest hour; do not enter in partial hours.

PSTracker has built in error checking which will verify that the hours you entered is a whole number and that it is within 1000 hours of the last reported mileage. Note: The variation limit is set by your agency and your agency may have chosen a different variation limit such as 2000 hours.

If necessary, we have created a Force Hours checkbox. This checkbox is designed to allow you to “force” input the hours, which will bypass any hours variation error checking your agency puts in place.

Click Update Hours to complete the process.
