Managing Camera (BWC) Audit Forms & Questions
Reasons and Forms have a Parent Child relationship.
- Reasons: The the reason you are reviewing the camera.
- Forms: Specific questions you want to ask on this form.
When creating new audits, employees select a Reason, which then automatically populates the Form option select list based upon the Reasons associated to the Form.
Questions can be added to forms which prompt the reviewer response during an audit.
- Adding Questions to a form is Optional
- Questions are presented in a Yes | No | N/A format.
- Typical question: Was the camera on and functioning?
Camera Audit Forms
Agencies can create multiple forms, each containing different questions, to be used based upon the type of review being conducted.
Manning Existing Camera Audit Forms
From the camera audit sub-navigational menu click Forms.
The screen refreshes displaying a list of your Forms
The columns on the Camera Audit Forms List include:
- Form Name (the name of the form - appears in the form select list)
- Forms Description (the description of the form)
- # of Questions (how many questions are in this form)
- Track Case Number (do we show this field and collect the case number on this form)
- Track Video Number (do we show this field and collect the video number on this form)
- Track Vehicle - (Do we collect the vehicle number on this form)
- Department (generally police)
- Active (available for use)
- Edit (click to edit the reason)
Adding a New Camera Audit Form
To add a new Form:
Click Add Form on the Sub Menu.
- A modal appears allowing you to add the new form
You must associate a form with a Reason.
- Click Create New Form to compete the process.
Managing Camera Audit Questions
This section describes how to manage the list of possible questions that can be used on your agency's audit forms.
Questions are an Optional part of Forms.
Questions can be added to forms which prompt the reviewer response.
Questions are presented in a Yes | No | N/A format.
From the Camera Audit navigational menu click Questions
You are shown a list of your form questions.
The columns on the Camera Audit Question List include:
- Name (the name of the question)
- Question (the actual question text)
- Used on Form(s) (the forms that use this question)
- Department (generally police)
- Active (available for use)
- Edit (click to edit the reason)
Adding / Managing Questions on Forms
This section describes how to add/manage the questions presented to reviewers on your forms
Click the Edit button at the far right of the Form.
The page refreshes and you are shown the Audit Form.
At the bottom of the form you will see a list of Questions used by this form.
If the form does not currently use any questions, that info will be displayed.
Add A Question to a Form
At the upper right of the question area, click the Add Question(s) to Form button.
A modal opens allowing yo to select and existing question to add to this form.
Select the question you want to add and click Add Question to Form.
The screen refreshes, you will be advised of the success and will see the newly added question at the bottom of the form.
Sort Question Order
If you need to re-sort the order in which the questions appear, click the Sort Question Order button at the far right of the list of questions.
The screen refreshes and the question appear in their current order.
Drag any of the questions to a new position in the list.
When you are done, click Submit Sortation.
Delete a Question from a Form
At the far right of the question, click the Delete button.
The screen refreshes and the question will have been removed form the form.
Deleting a question removes the question from future use on the form. It does NOT delete the question from historical camera audits.
