Information Requests Overview
Info requests allow you to send a task / information request to a specific employee.
- The employee receives notification of the request, processes it, and sends it back to the originator.
- The originator closes the request when its completed satisfactorily.
Information Request were designed to be sent by persons of authority within your organization. We did not design them to be a form of communication between two officers or as inter office correspondence, both of which is better served by instant messaging or email.
Request Lifecycle
- Request is created.
- Assigned Employee fulfills and Completes the Request.
- Original creating employee Closes the Request.
Flow of Requests
- Navigate to New => Request
- Create the request and select who is responsible for completing the request.
- That person receives email and dashboard notificaiotns of the new request.
- The employee assigns completes the request. Completing requests may include uploading files or images.
- Once complete the update the Request to complete which notifies the originator that the request has been completed.
- The Creator navigates to Manage => Requests.
- The originator reviews the request and Closes it when satisfied.
If you have the proper permissions you can navigate to View=>Requests to see a list of current and historical requests
Roles / Permissions
Anyone can be assigned and complete a request, but viewing all and historical, creating, and managing require specific permissions.
The Requests Module uses three main permissions
- Info Request Create (can create requests)
- Info Request Manager (can manage the module)
- View-Info Request (can view requests)
Customization
- Each agency can customize the Types, Categories, Priorities, and Statuses.
- Templates can be created to prompt for specific answers to meet the agency's needs.
