Creating New Parent Directed Patrol

To create a new PARENT Directed Patrol, use the sub nav, from either the Manage or Directed Patrol pages, and click Create New Directed Patrol.

You are shown the Create New Directed Patrol Form.

As you complete the form, please be aware of the following:

  • You must select a Subject (the subjects are customizable to your agency)
  • We use Google Maps with address verification. We highly recommend you select a verified address from the list of addresses that appear as you type in the location. When you select a verified address, we will populate the lat and long and update the map to this location.
  • You can manually adjust the lat, long, or exact pin location on the map.
  • If you enter a location that has already been used, we will show you a orange warning below the location. This warning is advisory only and you may use the same location more than once, in fact its common to do so for apartment, or office buildings.
  • Default Start and End times are OPTIONAL, these can be set on each activation.
  • The Alias field is generally used to document a vanity name such as Northbrook Court Shopping Center or Village Green Park.
  • Description is there to document details not contained in the general form fields.
  • Priority is optional, (priorities are customizable to your agency)
  • Parent Case # is optional.
  • Zones are optional.
  • Shifts are optional.
  • Lat and Long will normally be re populated after selecting the location.
  • Notes is an additional field for agency use.

When you are done filling out the form, click Create New Directed Patrol.

The Directed Patrol is now available for Activation when needed. Don't forget to activate your new Directed Patrol so it is ready for use by officers.
